In this project, it was required to obtain a firm understanding of the assigned architect, and to embody their voice and design a house in their spirit.
THE 'NAIVE' THOUGHT PHILOSOPHY
This philosophy emphasizes the effect of simple ideas on design nowadays. It shows that simple ideas do not lack depth and could actually form a high level of complexity out of an obvious thought.
Heatherwick experiments with new materials and common ones but used in unorthodox ways. He is constantly pushing the limitations of materials and their use. I tried to do the same with my experiential models exploring new forms and possibilities.
